Underperforming solar panels rarely look broken. Module-level efficiency losses, hot spots, bypass diode failures, and connection issues only become visible through radiometric thermal imaging. Each pixel records actual temperature, not just heat-map color.

Drone-captured thermal allows entire arrays to be scanned in a fraction of the time of ground-level inspection, with consistent capture angles and reproducible documentation for ongoing O&M tracking.

EQUIPMENT & STANDARDS

Captured with the DJI Matrice 4T: 640×512 native radiometric thermal sensor (1280×1024 in Super Resolution mode), with ±2°C temperature accuracy. Capture conditions, flight altitude, and sun-angle timing are scoped per project to support IEC 62446-3 thermal inspection workflows. Final efficiency analysis is performed by your O&M or engineering team.
